Newly Released Excavator Bought By Hughes And Salvidge

Increasing customer demand has seen us make an addition to our impressive excavator fleet after we recently took delivery of the new Hitachi ZX490-6.

Designed and engineered to meet the demands of large-scale construction projects, the state-of-the-art ZX490-6 is Hitachi’s very latest model and an enhanced successor to their ZX470-5.

It offers low-noise performance and an increased hydraulic pump capacity, coming armed with a Tier 4 Final engine. It also provides first-rate durability, reliability and manoeuvrability and is equipped with an HIOS IIIB hydraulic system to help limit fuel consumption, improve productivity levels and save us money.

Additional attachments can be fitted to the ZX490-6 enabling the excavator to undertake various tasks. Operators of the excavator also benefit from a supremely comfortable vehicle interior to further aid output.

This is the latest Hitachi excavator we have acquired in recent years, the last being the Hitachi ZX870, which has performed exceptionally well since its purchase in 2015.

As an industry leading company it is important that we continue to invest in the very smartest technology.
