A Golden Anniversary For Hughes And Salvidge

2014 is a truly momentous year in the long and illustrious history of Hughes and Salvidge as it sees us celebrate 50 years in demolition and decommissioning, an achievement that we’re all extremely proud of.

The past half century has seen Hughes and Salvidge progress from relatively humble beginnings to go on to become one of the UK’s premier decommissioning companies.

We’ve done this by leading the way in quality and innovation and establishing an outstanding health and safety record whilst conducting our vast array of services, which in addition to demolition, include asbestos removal, decontamination and industrial cleaning and land remediation.

It’s a service offering that has extended in recent years too with the acquisitions of K&B Crushers (concrete crushing services), H&S Metals (metal recycling) and Aasvogel Waste Management (a fully integrated waste management solution), enabling us to offer a complete demolition solution.

We’re open enough to admit that the road to 50 hasn’t always been an easy one. The demolition industry as a whole has faced some very challenging years, but we have managed to continue to grow, despite of this, by demonstrating stringent working practices and forming strong relationships with clients as our extensive project portfolio testifies.
